Dr. Mohandesi is a Prosthodontist born and raised in Northern Virginia.  

She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at American University in Washington, DC. She went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with Honors in Clinical Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania. Her focus during dental school was implant dentistry. 

After dental school, she completed a 3-year residency in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. During this time, she served as chief resident of her program and earned a Masters of Science in Dentistry. Her research focus was 3D Printing and calibration software.  

She started her career as a Prosthodontist in the academic world and has always had a passion for teaching and giving back. She served as the Director of the DMD Advanced Prosthodontics Clinic at the University of Louisville where her focus was implant dentistry and the digital curriculum.  

In the private practice world, her expertise is in both tooth and implant dentistry. She has a special interest in advanced implant cases involving the full mouth. She has always had a strong appreciation for artistry and this specialty has allowed her to combine her artistic talents with her strong clinical background to give her patients beautiful smiles that also restore health, form, and function. 

While she is not practicing dentistry, she loves spending time with her husband Adam, son Kiyan and dog Bo. They are avid hikers and love spending as much time outdoors as possible. When she is not outside, you can find her baking something delicious for friends and family. During residency she started a decorative sugar cookie business and still thoroughly enjoys creating delicious and beautiful treats.
